Walkers Logs Expansion

Due to increasing demand for our products, we are expanding our drying and production facilities. We are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for the installation of a state of the art kiln drier that, like our other kilns will be heated using biomass. Construction work will begin in May.

We are very proud of the fact, that our office and all our kilns are heated using renewable energy. Some of our competitors burn oil or gas to dry their logs, or they import firewood from Eastern Europe, whereas we source all our wood from local sustainable woodlands, and then dry them with renewable energy.

We are also looking to purchase a new firewood processor this summer, to replace our diesel powered machine, for an electric version. This should reduce our reliance on oil even further. Watch this space for updates on building progress!
