We have had a very busy Summer here at Walkers Logs, with new buildings, firewood processing equipment and kilns all being installed. For the kiln project we used the last remaining British kiln manufacturer who are based in Essex. They specialise in kiln drying firewood, and other types of timber. Our kiln is the largest specialist firewood kiln they have ever made.

We have invested in a fully automated German biomass boiler, that heats the new kiln. The boiler runs on wood chip rather than oil to make our process completely sustainable. This was supplied by Mercia Energy in Warwickshire.
